The Ocean Bloom Mural was painted in early 2018 by artist Nastia Gladushchenko and features a series of pink shaded interwoven shapes.
We asked Nastia about the inspiration behind her work – she said:
We all hate swimming around in seaweed but with this piece I wanted to change the perception of this wild plant into something otherworldly and dreamy that will entice people to step in amongst it. Inspired by the plant-life of the ocean and the unseen elements of our natural world that are vital to human’s and the planet’s survival, the scale of this work allowed me to immerse the public in Bondi Beach into this underwater dreamland.
