This piece was completed in February 2017 by Eilda – who claims that her hot chips are not there to torment Andre Braun – BondiWorld‘s Seagull next door.
Eilda told us:
It is what it is: hot chips.
I thought, what’s at the beach? My brain answered with a long word trail like:
sand; ocean; towels; sunscreen; lifeguards; waves; surfboards; seagulls; burgers; fish and chips. And there it was. Chips.
With that in my mind, I wanted to create something happy and colourful. Something easy on the eye. Something simple that people could use as a cute backdrop – a little something to add more smiles to Bondi.
