In Winter 2026, artist Nikki Poulos painted this piece on the wall – featuring flowers.
We asked Nikki about the inspiration behind her piece and she told us:
I started painting flower murals about six years ago and I’ve painted one every year.
NIKKI POULOS
I have one on my own home in Byron Bay, Mexico, Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads, Miami, and Papua New Guinea. The idea for the Bondi Beach seawall mural was an extension of wanting people to feel happy and loved. Hence my ‘love letter to Bondi’ mural. And it turned out to be a true love letter. As I was painting, so many people turned out in support, to chat, to bring coffee, to talk about the surf, to ask about my process, to loan me ladders, and to help me paint. It truly became a community mural project. It reminded me of how much I love Bondi and what a beautiful community it is.
