The shorter, longer panels in the wall are often ignored by artists in favour of the taller panels (maybe because they are more difficult to paint) – but in late January 2017, Sophi Odling spent ten days seated – creating this great piece.
Sophi says:
The Bondi Bellas are open to interpretation. A glamour puss in Monaco, to an Erykah Badu look a like, to simply a beach lady.
It could be pure beach fun, or an intricate statement about how our attire is judged and perceived. A headdress in this case can be misread on so many levels and is a challenge to reflect on our current global issues.

Beautiful work Sophi. You’re going places!
