2016 – NOTACRIME

This piece was completed in January 2016 by street artists Scott Nagy and Krimsone, promotes the right of the opressed Baha’is people – Iran’s largest religious minority – to education and freedom of expression, in particular the lack of access to tertiary education faced by the group.  It was painted-over in January 2017.

The artwork was a collaborative effort that they hoped would connect with young people.

“The way we created the concept design … the three of us came together with individual sketches and we wanted to convey the meaning of freedom of imagination, so what underlies freedom of education and the right to freedom of expression,”
