2018 – Wings

Wings was painted in 2018 by street artist ELK and features a pair of black gothic angel wings at shoulder height.

This piece is popular with tourists and instagrammers who pose in front of the wings – and along with other pieces was vandalised with swastikas in February 2019.

We asked Luke (ELK) why he chose this subject and he said:

Angel wings are actually considered a bit naff in the street art world – so it was really a piss-take on them!
