2019 – Sunflowers

Sunflowers was painted in Winter 2019 by artist Kaina Morais (Native Soul) in the super long, thin panel at the top of the skate park – it features a row of Sunflowers reaching for the sun.

We asked Kaina about her piece and she told us:

I decided to paint sunflowers first because sunflowers are one of my favourite flowers. To me they invoke happiness. The sunflower always looks to the light and when there is no sun it turns to another sunflower to share the light.
