Bin Chicken Opera House was painted in 2018 by artist Lucy Hughes – and features six Ibis dipping their curling beaks into a body of water floating with discarded litter.
It is only when you look closer that you realise that the outline of Hughes’s Ibises is the same as the sails of the Sydney Opera House that you realise how clever the painting is.
This painting was one of several that was vandalised with swastikas in February 2019.
