Mike says about the piece:
I was originally painting a skater kid for my panel, from seeing the kids skating at the bowl. I finished painting the panel and I wasn’t really happy with it so I decided to redo it. The new head came out pretty quickly, but I was much happier with him. I think sometimes not thinking about the work too much can help – but I had to add some zinc on him to stop him getting sun burnt.
