2017 – A Wish for Peace

A Wish for Peace was painted in July 2017 by Bondi artist Jenna YoNa Bloom – and shows folded paper cranes coming together to form a peace sign.

We asked Jenna about the background behind this work – she said:

‘A Wish for Peace’ is based on the ancient Japanese legend that says if you fold a thousand cranes you receive a wish.
My dad had recently been diagnosed with leukaemia and this mural was my wish for him to get his health back and to wish the world health and peace.
